Autumn is here, the nights are drawing in and Halloween is fast approaching. If you’re planning a celebration then a pumpkin party is perfect for this time of year!
Decorations
You can never have too much orange! No, we’re not talking about fake tan – we mean all things pumpkin! They are everywhere at this time of year. From lights and ornaments to party plates, cups, tablecloths and napkins.
Hang paper pumpkins around the space and use pumpkin candle holders. Scatter real pumpkins and Jack O’Lanterns around the party space. Remember pumpkins come in different colors, shapes and sizes so you can really mix things up.
If you’re stuck for time don’t spend too much time carving pumpkins – illooms Pumpkin LED light up balloons are the perfect accessory.
Food & Drink
You can’t go wrong if it’s orange and/or pumpkin-shaped! At this time of year, the shops are full of Halloween treats that you can stock up on. Alternatively, make a cauldron full of pumpkin soup or pumpkin curry to fortify your guests and bake some homemade pumpkin pie. Experiment with pumpkin spice drinks. Check online for recipes.
Pumpkin Carving Competition
Pumpkin carving is a traditional Halloween activity. Kids and adults can work together to create carvings for categories such as most beautiful, best in the dark and funniest pumpkin.
